AViCON 2018: Day 1 Line Up

AViCON 2018: Day 1 Line Up

This year's conference kicks off with a bang with panels focusing on emerging technology in aviation and dealing with government agencies in response to aviation accident investigations:

Starting things off, James Rodriguez ( Holland & Knight) leads a panel discussion including Joe Sedor ( NTSB's major investigations unit ), Jeff Guzzetti ( FAA ), and Daniel Rose ( Kreindler & Kreindler ) wherein they share best practices for dealing with both the NTSB and foreign regulatory agencies.

The morning continues with Paul Bowles ( Fitzpatrick & Hunt ) and David Tochen ( LeClairRyan ), discussing the impact of recent developments in aviation technology such as artificial intelligence. Do these advancements hurt the industry more than they help?

After our lunch presentation on Negotiations, the discussion reaches across the aisle with Tracy Steele ( AIG ), Brian Alexander ( Kreindler & Kreindler ), Petra Justice ( Banker Lopez Gassler ), and Diane Westwood Wilson ( LeClairRyan ) to openly discuss the strategic decision-making and other nuances triggered when a defendant, and its insurer, join forces with plaintiffs to pursue a common litigation objective.

How would you handle an aviation case involving a G.A. and Military aircraft collision? Panel members Michael Schofield ( Clark Partington ), Justin Green ( Kreindler & Kreindler ), Randy Davis ( Phoenix Air Group ), and Brian Lawler ( Pilot Law ) share their thoughts and past experiences in litigating such cases.

We get you out of your seats and into the laboratories of RTI for two hands-on discussions featuring:

3-D Printing in Aviation: Perspectives on Insurance, Manufacturing, and Product Liability with this emerging technology

Focusing on emerging technologies in aviation, this panel, led by Lisa Savitt ( The Axelrod Firm ), will also include Lili Beneda Rubenstein ( Senior Complex Claims Director at AIG Aerospace ),  Lauren Haertlein,( Director of Safety & Regulatory Affairs at GAMA ), and Senior Aerospace / Materials Engineer Mike Gordon.
